As far as I am able to glean from internet sources, Weapons of Mass Destruction are defined by the UN as Nuclear, Biological, or Chemical weapons. On the other hand, bombs, missiles, hi-tech armaments, drones, war planes, war ships, and so on….these are not weapons of mass destruction. Hmmm. WMD’s must not be used in warfare. They contravene international law.
So, once again, with no proof, the United States, Britain and France have sent their missiles, illegally, into another country, stirring up the world to war. This action endangers us all. This action could trigger WWIII. The US’s continuous campaign to vilify Russia has been absorbed by our media as well as theirs. Islamaphobia is being nurtured. And, like sponges, we absorb. There are likely some truths being told, and some lies. How are we to know? Blind acceptance of western media does not seem, to me, to be the answer. We are being primed to hate, to fear. We are being primed for war.
I try not to be one of those people, you know, conspiracy theorists. But it’s hard sometimes to avoid seeing underlying agendas for actions such as these. I hope, hope, hope that Canada does not follow suit, that Canada remains neutral, that we are not dragged into this mess.
There are no winners in war.
